Arto Shears slammed his fist against his desk in rage. “Why? Why are they cutting us off? We need this money to keep sending astronauts! One tiny accident shouldn’t be enough to end a massive company! You know what...just get out of my sight” the assistant looked back a bit frightened “y-yes sir” Arto got on the first plane to china hoping to find some new funding but what he was given was certainly not funding.

“News reports from China are saying that there was an earthquake that was off the charts and one thousand people are missing including former owner of the insomnia project, it was a massive space and genetic evolution company, but it went bust when four men died when their rocket broke in midair. We are now getting visual images from Tokyo where the earthquake is said to have stopped” the television screen flickers to a news reporter standing in the wreckage of the earthquake when suddenly ripples of earth start appearing and the man stands there with a sharp piece or rock through his stomach. The man fell to the floor revealing that the sharp rock was part of something’s arm, the thing was dark brown and made out of the earth, nothing human was left about Arto Shears, he was now the human rock, after being refused funding and crushed by the earthquake he had no room for humanity he felt immortal. Andrew switched off the television, “looks like we have a challenge” Andrew grinned and insomnia jumped to his feet “indeed we do”

Having insomnia around was pretty useful because when you’re buying plane tickets just show the worker his face and they beg you to get on the plane. Finding the human rock wasn’t that hard considering that half of the mountains surrounding Tokyo were moving. Andrew grabbed insomnia and jumped out of the plane forming a barrier below them so they could reach the human rock. Arto looked to find something he did not expect to see, the dead astronaut Andrew. “So how are you here? You’re the reason I’m like this!” insomnia looked at Andrew “who is he?” Andrew looked closer then turned to Insomnia “i...i think it’s my boss!” before anything else could happen a massive brown fist was hurtling towards Andrew and Insomnia but with the flick of his hand Andrew put up an aqua barrier shattering the rock into a million pieces. “so you can create barriers...weird...but I’ll crush that power! And you along with it!” insomnia looked at Andrew “can I have some fun for once?” Andrew thought for a second “he’s pretty tough so be caref-“Andrew was cut off by another giant fist smashing to the ground unconscious. Insomnia looked at his friend and turned back to Arto full of rage, somehow Insomnia expanded his body making him enormous and as arto ran and punched his stomach he fell through insomnia’s gateway into space and once again through his flickering consciousness Andrew saw someone reaching for him as they fell to their death.

Andrew looked at the purple and black energy that was his left hand. There was something wrong with him and it was spreading. Fast.

“So we are gathered here today to discuss our current findings and results on the genetic evolution we have done on our...subjects so please tell me everything.” In the dark room a light is switched on revealing scientists sitting round the table and one man smiling at the end of the table, his black glasses covered his eyes, but everyone could tell what kind of creature this was by its evil grin. Nothing had changed about him physically so he wasn’t a monster in that sense, but in his emotions. He was a monster. “Well c-cancer sir the barrier subject is causing trouble, and he has teamed up with our first subject from one hundred years ago! It seems impossible but its true, and they have killed our earth subject, we need to stop them and soon! Otherwise they will ruin our experiments completely!”The man stopped smiling and pulled a grimace that seemed to darken the room “ fine I’ll bribe another subject who can capture him, I’ll send razor” the men looked at him in disbelief, this was a new level of madness “b-but sir razor will be impossible to capture again, this is like suicide, we won’t allow it!” Cancer grimaced “it’s a shame, we were all working so well” the men gasped, the lights flicked off then they flicked back on in a second but the men were dead...and cancer was gone.

Insomnia and Andrew had moved to London as there was meant to be another subject nearby but little did they know that subject was looking for them “Well hello boys! Isn’t this nice, all three of us! And the funny thing is, all three of us will be in prison at the end of this! Ha!” then the man frowned. Insomnia and Andrew looked at each other in disbelief, a man with two long blades for arms was  standing in front of them. Andrew created a barrier in the shape of a ball and ran towards the man who kept standing there. Then Andrew noticed...that the man was in his barrier and had got both of the razors to his neck. Insomnia looked in despair as the man threw a small cube on the ground which exploded into a massive prison containing the man and Andrew. For the second time insomnia watched as a friend was taken away from him.
